Green Coffee

  • Colombia is known to have the best coffee in the entire world! Because the country of Colombia has the perfect geography for growing coffee. Colombian coffee is known for its rich, mild flavor because of the perfect climate and beans that are grown. … (Consequently, the higher the elevation, generally the better the taste of the bean.
  • Coffee from higher altitudes usually are better coffees but generally take longer to grow. Coffee generally grows better in shaded areas better than those not in shaded areas which is why you will find fruit trees growing near farms which also helps with the flavor of the coffee.
  • Handpicked coffee is better than those picked with machines because you get a better quality and the best-picked coffee which help to prevent getting defective beans or foreign materials and all Colombian coffee is handpicked.
  • Colombian coffee is a variety of Arabica beans grown exclusively in Colombia. The coffee beans are washed during the process hence this variety is also popularly called “Washed Arabica.” The washing procedure helps in purification and in reducing the acidity of the beans. This gives a richer and stronger aroma to the coffee.
  • Coffee grows best in volcanic soil between the elevations of 4,000 and 6,000 feet (1,200 to 1,800 meters). (Consequently, the higher the elevation, generally the better the taste of the bean.) Coffee must also grow between 30ºN and 30ºS (known as the coffee zone or “bean belt”) and in places that are frost-free with at least 80 inches of rain a year.

MINIMUM PURCHASE

Minimum orders may vary so inquire about each order. We have coffee warehoused in the United States and also ship direct from our farms we work with in Colombia. We may be able to provide 1 full bag ranging from 25-154 lbs depending on what’s in stock. However, to optimize shipping costs, we suggest ordering in full-pallet increments and we can only provide a minimum purchase order for what we have in our United States warehouse. For coffee not yet received from our Colombian warehouse we may require a larger minimum order for certain coffees.
Coffee is a commodity, and like any other commodity, it depends on supply and demand. Coffee is the second biggest commodity on the commodities market second to oil.
